Water Curtain Capture

Water wash spray booth interior showing water curtain capture

Clean air flows through the spray zone toward a cascading water curtain at the exhaust wall. Overspray particles are carried into the water barrier, where they are absorbed and trapped. The water continuously flows over baffles, creating a dense curtain that captures even fine paint mist.

Water Treatment System

Water treatment and recirculation system for spray booth

The water-paint mixture flows to a collection tank where treatment chemicals promote coagulation. Paint solids settle as sludge while treated water is pumped back to the curtain system. pH monitoring and dosing systems maintain optimal water chemistry for efficient overspray capture.

Sludge Management

Paint sludge removal system for water wash booth

Paint solids accumulate at the tank bottom as sludge. Depending on paint volume, sludge is removed weekly or monthly using pumps or manual collection. Solidified sludge is disposed of according to environmental regulations, typically as non-hazardous solid waste.

Applications and Industries

Water wash spray booths are the preferred choice for high-volume production environments where daily paint consumption justifies the investment in water treatment infrastructure.

Automotive Manufacturing

Body-in-white painting, vehicle assembly lines, and automotive component finishing operations benefit from water wash technology’s ability to handle high overspray volumes consistently.

Heavy Equipment and Transportation

Truck, bus, and commercial vehicle production facilities use water wash booths for large-scale coating operations where parts size and production volume demand robust filtration capacity.

Metal Fabrication

High-volume batch coating of fabricated metal components, assemblies, and structural steel in facilities running continuous production schedules.

Appliance Manufacturing

White goods, HVAC equipment, and appliance manufacturing lines benefit from the consistent performance and lower per-unit costs of water wash systems.

Aerospace Components

Large aerospace part finishing operations where high-quality results and environmental compliance are critical requirements.
