High-Capacity Water Curtain Technology for Production Spray Finishing
Water wash spray booths use a continuous water curtain system to capture and contain paint overspray, offering a proven solution for high-volume spray painting operations. Instead of dry filters, these booths direct overspray toward a cascading water wall that absorbs and traps paint particles. The contaminated water is then collected, treated, and recirculated, creating a self-sustaining filtration system ideal for facilities with significant daily paint consumption.
Clean, filtered air enters from above or behind the work area and flows toward the water curtain at the exhaust side. As operators spray parts, overspray particles are carried by airflow into the water curtain, where they are captured and removed from the airstream. The cleaned air passes through eliminator plates to remove moisture before being exhausted. Paint-laden water flows to a collection tank where solids settle out. The separated water is filtered and recirculated back to the water curtain, while accumulated sludge is periodically removed for disposal.
This technology excels in high-production automotive plants, large equipment manufacturers, and facilities where daily paint usage justifies the more complex water treatment system.
